First Royal Oak Son to Enter Guernsey A.I.-Sampling

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Sept. 27, 2001 — 7GU383 Oak Knob Royal DIABLO, bred by Craig Church, Cresco, Iowa, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, DIABLO is one of seven Guernsey bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Guernsey breeders.

DIABLO is the first son of 7GU330 Jensgolden Proking ROYAL OAK to be sampled in A.I. He will be a top choice to cross on the Nells Glow Admiral MAGIC bloodlines. DIABLO’s sire offers outstanding components and type. His dam, Oak Knob P King Dione (VG-84) has three production records more than 20,000 pounds of milk and is a Gold Star Dam. The next three dams in DIABLO’s pedigree have lifetime totals of more than 100,000 pounds of milk, a rare and very admirable feat in the Guernsey breed today. DIABLO is being sampled in cooperation with United Guernsey Genetics.
