Young Sire Bred in Iowa to Enter A.I.

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Sept. 27, 2001 — 7HO6972 Regan-England DEMAS-ET (99%RHA), bred by Regancrest Farm and Barry and Diane England, Waukon, Iowa, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigrees, DEMAS is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

DEMAS is a unique individual being sampled this year at Select Sires, being a Olmo Prelude TUGOLO*MF son. Regancrest-Bde Dreams*TL, DEMAS’s dam, is from the same cow family as DURHAM and is a daughter of 250 FATAL 96% RHA-I. Dreams scored Very Good (87) on her first classification and produced 38,089 pounds of milk, 1,512 pounds of fat and 1,183 pounds of protein. DEMAS has extreme Parent Averages (PA) for both Type-Production Index (TPI™) and fat. These PA’s, his outcross pedigree and the Dellia cow family give DEMAS all the credentials to become a breed leader!
