PLAIN CITY, Ohio, October 25, 2001 — 7HO6984 Sikkema-Star E BLAINE-ET, bred by Sikkema-Star Holsteins, Oakdale, Calif., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, BLAINE is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

BLAINE is a 7HO6250 Ricecrest EMERSON-ET son from Wil-Hart MRY Blythe-ET, a Very Good (88) daughter of 7HO3948 MJR Blackstar EMORY-ET. She produced 35,230 pounds of milk, 1,087 pounds of fat and 1,166 pounds of protein in 365 days at 2-years, 5-months of age from an Excellent mammary. The Very Good (86) second dam, Dixie-Lee Luke Blizzard-ET, is a Gold Medal Dam (GMD) and Dam of Merit (DOM). Her best production record stands at 34,180 pounds of milk, 1,369 pounds of fat and 1,269 pounds of protein.
