Guernsey A.I.-Sampling

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, October 26, 2001 — 7GU384 Rutter Bros Luxurys LEGEND, bred by Terri Johnson, York, Pa., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, LEGEND is one of seven Guernsey bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Guernsey breeders.

LEGEND is the first son of 7GU339 Trotacre Jay Mr LUXURY to be sampled anywhere. His dam, Rutter Bros Enhancers Lily, is scored Excellent (92) and was Junior All-American as a Junior 2-year-old in 1999 and as a Junior 3-year-old in 2000. In addition to her show ring success, Lily is ranked second on the August 2001 CPI List. She has tested more than 5.0 percent fat for each of her two lactations and just finished a 3-years, 2-months of age record of 26,650 pounds of milk, 1,371 pounds of fat and 857 pounds of protein in 325 days. The Very Good (88) second dam, Rutter Bros Perfectos Lydia, is a Gold Star Dam with four production records more than 28,000 pounds of milk.
