PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Dec. 4, 2001 — 7HO7036 Wa-Del MONTEREY-ET, bred by Rick Wadel, Shippensburg, Pa., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, MONTEREY is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

MONTEREY is a Wa-Del CONVINCER-ET son from Wa-Del Emerson Molly. She is a Very Good (89) 7HO6250 Ricecrest EMERSON daughter that produced 34,470 pounds of milk, 1,350 pounds of fat and 1,059 pounds of protein in 365 days at 2 years, 4 months of age. The grandam, Wa-Del Aerostar Molly, Very Good (85), produced a top record of 32,950 pounds of milk, 1,298 pounds of fat and 1,044 pounds of protein at 5 years of age.
