Iowa to Enter A.I.



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Dec. 4, 2001 — 7HO6971 Far-O-La Danica DAYMON-ET, bred by Rick Demmer, Pedsta, Iowa, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, DAYMON is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

DAYMON is a 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET son. His dam, Regancrest-Jb Win Danica-ET, is a Very Good (87) daughter of 7HO4637 Ladys-Manor WINCHESTER-ET. As a 2-year-old, she produced 36,939 pounds of milk, 1,271 pounds of fat and 1,045 pounds of protein in 365 days. The second dam is Regancrest Tesk Della, an Excellent (90) Gold Medal Dam (GMD) and Dam of Merit (DOM). Her best record is 35,510 pounds of milk, 1,234 pounds of fat and 1,067 pounds of protein. The third dam in DAYMON’s pedigree is none other than Snow-N Denises Dellia, dam of DURHAM and 7HO6131 Regancrest Emory DERRY-ET, two highly proven sires in Select Sires’ active lineup.
