New Milking Shorthorn Sire Bred in Minnesota Enters A.I.

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Dec. 4, 2001 — 7MS341 Bar-D-Kuzmar CLAY, a young Milking Shorthorn sire bred by Bar-D Farm, Pelican Rapids, Minn., has been chosen to enter Select Sires' SUPER SAMPLER™ program. With this designation, his semen is available to all Milking Shorthorn breeders who are interested in adding a new bloodline to their breeding program

"CLAY enters the Select Sires Milking Shorthorn program with power-packed production potential," says Ron Long, vice president dairy sire procurement. "Both his sire, Bar-D CINDY’S CLAY, and maternal grandsire, BLASER Acres Pepper B2, are high ranking active-A.I. sires. CLAY’s dam, Bar-D Mara, is a milky individual scored Excellent (90). CLAY is a tall, angular well-balanced bull that should work well as an outcross sire, especially on daughters of 7MS340 Kuzmar Alfairs OTHELLO. Use CLAY to sire high type and outstanding production."
