Jersey Young Sire Bred in Pennsylvania to Enter A.I.


PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Dec. 4, 2001 — 7JE629 Nobledale Fair VANGUARD-ET, a Jersey young sire bred by Stuart W. Noble, Gillett, Pa., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, VANGUARD is one of 33 Jersey bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Jersey breeders.

VANGUARD, a son of Molly Brook Berretta FAIR-ET, is a K7 genetic diversity young sire. His dam, Nobledale Juno Vermont, is scored Excellent (94) and produced 26,220 pounds of milk, 1,250 pounds of fat and 929 pounds of protein in 305 days at 5 years, 2 months of age. The second dam in VANGUARD’s pedigree is Nobledale Legend Vertus. She is scored Excellent (92) and her best record stands at 19,030 pounds of milk, 796 pounds of fat and 688 pounds of protein.
