Kentucky Student Named Intern at Leading U.S. A.I. Organization


PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 26, 2003 — Bryan Carroll, Vine Grove, Ky., has been selected as the beef-marketing summer intern for Select Sires, Plain City, Ohio. In this role he will assist with the preparation of advertisements and brochures, help photograph bulls and bull progeny, and work on other beef-marketing projects. He will be based in the Select federation's headquarters office in Plain City.

This fall Carroll will be a senior at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky., where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in animal science. Currently the president of Block and Bridle, Carroll is actively involved in the university's livestock judging team, and has shown beef cattle at the local and state level. Carroll is the son of Larry and Lecie Carroll of Vine Grove, Ky., who own and operate a beef farm.

Based in Plain City, Ohio, Select Sires Inc. is a federation of 10 farmer-owned and -controlled cooperatives.
