Ohio Student Named Intern
at Leading U.S. A.I. Organization



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Jan. 13, 2004 — Andrea Keener, West Salem, Ohio, has been selected as the corporate communications school-year intern for Select Sires, Plain City, Ohio. In this role she will assist with media-relations activities and work on other communications projects. She will be based in the Select federation’s headquarters office in Plain City through June.

Keener is a junior at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education. On campus she is involved actively in the Buckeye Dairy Club, where she is serving as the corresponding secretary and as a chairperson of the fundraising committee. Keener is also a part of the OSU collegiate dairy-judging team. At the 2003 North American International Livestock Exposition she was first in Holsteins and fifth in the overall competition.

Keener is the daughter of Phil and Jean Keener, Acacia Brown Swiss, West Salem, Ohio. She is actively involved in her home farm and is also developing a herd of her own cattle.

Based in Plain City, Ohio, Select Sires, Inc. is a federation of 10 farmer-owned and -controlled cooperatives.
