Sire Department Reorganized Under Sattler
PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Jan. 20, 2004 — Select Sires Inc. has announced the
promotion of Chuck Sattler to vice president of genetic programs, Charlie
Will to manager of Holstein sire selection and Jeff Ziegler to manager of
protein/specialty sire programs. All three continue to be based at Select
Sires’ headquarters in Plain City, Ohio.

ensure Select’s position as a front-runner for providing the finest bulls
and genetic programs among A.I. organizations."
In his new role, Chuck Sattler will be responsible for leading, managing and
developing the sire department in the areas of administration, genetic
research programs and the industry-leading Program for Genetic Advancement™
(PGA™). He has a keen understanding of progeny test and research coupled
with an understanding and appreciation of Select’s superior sire-selection
programs. Since he came to Select in 2000, Sattler has been Select Sires’
technical person on research issues. He consolidated the PGA with Sire Power’s
GOLD program and has worked to improve the efficiency of the program
through electronic records.
Charlie Will has been promoted to manager of Holstein sire selection. He
will be responsible for the management, leadership and development of Select’s
industry-leading Holstein-sire program.
Will has a proven track record of over 20 years experience as a sire

Jeff Zeigler has been promoted to manager of protein/specialty sire
programs. He will be responsible for investigating and developing new
genetic programs that will enhance Select’s sire programs, as well as
overseeing non-Holstein sire selections.
Ziegler has been with Select Sires for 18 years, and is one of the most
highly respected people in the Jersey industry. Through his leadership and
selection of bulls such as 7JE254 Mason Boomer Sooner BERRETTA, 7JE290
WF/L&M Duncan BARBER-ET, 7JE535 Windy Willow Montana JACE and 7JE442 Rock
Ella PARAMOUNT-ET, Select’s Jersey lineup has developed into a premier
