PLAIN CITY, Ohio, April 21, 2004 — 7JE725 MVF Barkly DAN 1106, bred by Terry and Craig Rhein, Pine Grove, Pa., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, DAN is one of 35 Jersey bulls to enter the program in 2004. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Jersey breeders.

DAN is sired by 7JE488 Long Distance Barber BARKLY. DAN’s dam, MVF Declo Danielle 771-ET, is scored Excellent (91). She produced 3-1 305d 21,330M 4.5% 954F 3.7% 788P. MVF Duncan Danielle, Very Good (83), DAN’s grandam, has completed eight lactations with fat percentages as high as 5.2 percent. Her best record is 7-7 305d 24,390M 4.6% 1,110F 3.6% 880P.
