PLAIN CITY, Ohio, April 21, 2004 — 7HO8128 Hunsberger Morty RANSOM-ET*TV, bred by Hunsberger Holsteins LLC, Shreve, Ohio, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, RANSOM is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2004. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

RANSOM is sired by Stouder MORTY-ET. His dam, Hunsberger Juror Trophy-ET, is scored Excellent (90-EX-MS) and produced 5-9 365d 36,320M 4.5% 1,650F 3.4% 1,227P. Trophy’s lifetime production is 1,706d 133,570M 4.6% 6,113F 3.4% 4,530P. Hunsberger Prelude Tana-ET is RANSOM’s grandam. She produced 4-2 365d 29,090M 4.3% 1,253F 3.0% 863P and is scored Very Good (88). RANSOM’s third dam, Holms-View-Mark Tara, Excellent (91-EX-MS), is a Gold Medal Dam as well as a Dam of Merit. Tara produced 3-9 365d 42,270M 3.7% 1,572F 3.2% 1,358P and is the dam of second-crop success sire 7HO5099 Hunsberger INTREPID-ET*TV.
