Iowa Student Named Intern
at Leading U.S. A.I. Organization



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 29, 2004 — Adam Althoff, LaMotte, Iowa, has been selected as the summer intern for the dairy-sire products and services department at Select Sires, Plain City, Ohio. In this role he will work with Select federation’s 10 member cooperatives by helping them locate, fit and photograph daughters of Select sires. In addition, he will assist with tours and other projects while based at the organization’s headquarters office in Plain City.

Althoff is a senior at Iowa State University, expecting to graduate in the spring with a bachelor’s degree in dairy science and a minor in economics and agronomy. He is a member of the Dairy Science Club where he chairs many committees and is also a member of the dairy judging team. Althoff is the son of Wayne and Alice Althoff, who own and operate a 120-cow Holstein farm.

Based in Plain City, Ohio, Select Sires, Inc. is a federation of 10 farmer-owned and -controlled cooperatives.
