Select Sires Web Site Updated and
Sire Directories Now Available
PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 9, 2004
— Dairy producers who are looking for a quick, convenient way to obtain both production and type results from the quarterly dairy sire evaluations issued by the USDA, Interbull and breed associations on Nov. 8 now can turn to a single source - www.selectsires.com. This Web site will carry the latest production and type data for all dairy breeds represented in the Select Sires lineup and will profile daughter photos for those sires.
In addition to Select's Web site, new Holstein and high-component sire directories are also available for dairy producers as they update mating programs for their herds.
The 48-page, full-color Holstein directory features the latest production and type data for Select Sires' active-A.I. sires and information on the newest SUPER SAMPLER™ bulls. The directory also contains proof details and pictures of daughters sired by industry-leading bulls, such as new graduate 7HO6737 Doughty-Valley Kilo ALLAN*TV, who ranks No. 3 on the Type-Production Index listing. Also graduating are two sons of 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET*CV, 7HO6782 Ocean-View ZENITH-TW-ET*TV and 7HO6758 Regancrest-MR Drham SAM-ET*TV. Additionally, No. 1 TPI™ and Net Merit Dollars sire 7HO6417 O-Bee MANfred Justice-ET*TV is featured.
The 24-page, full-color high-components-breeds directory highlights production and type information for sires representing the Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Jersey and Milking Shorthorn breeds. The directory also features proof details and pictures publicizing four new active-A.I. sires. One of the four is 7JE613 Blackys BIG TIME-ET, a son of Blacky Rose of Briarcliffs (EX-96). In the Brown Swiss breed, 7BS753 Sun-Made Garbro PUZZLE-ET also entered the active A.I list with great udders and longevity.
Producers can contact their Select Sires representative to receive a complimentary sire directory or for more information visit Select's Web site, www.selectsires.com.
