Super Sampler Program at Select Sires

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, July 5, 2006 — 7HO8822 Hen-Lo TOWNSEND-ET, bred by Henry Huizinga, Owego, N.Y., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, TOWNSEND is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2006. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, TOWNSEND semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

TOWNSEND is sired by Hartline Titanic-ET. His dam, Hen-Lo Durham Lalita, is classified Excellent (93-2E-EX-MS). She produced 3-08 365d 31,380M 3.3% 1,048F 3.1% 974P. Lalita’s dam, Hen-Lo Emory Lady (EX-91-2E-EX-MS) also produced well with a lifetime record of 173,570M, with a top record of 5-4 365d 36,010M 3.7% 1,315F 3.0% 1,073P. TOWNSEND has extreme Parent Averages for Type (+2.83) and Udders (+2.43 UDC).
