PLAIN CITY, Ohio, July 5, 2006 — 7HO8826 Kings-Ransom Sosa RUPERT-ET, bred by Carolyn King, Schuylerville, N.Y., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, RUPERT is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2006. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, RUPERT semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

RUPERT is sired by Rich-J Sosa-ET. His dam is Kings-Ransom Bmar Ruth-ET, one of 7HO5375 Mara-Thon BW MARSHALL-ET’s best. She is scored Very Good (88) and produced a 2-year-old record of 2-5 3x 365d 40,820M 5.0% 2,027F 3.2% 1,300P. Ruth has four maternal sisters all with over 32,000 pounds of milk in their first lactation. RUPERT’s grandam, Kings-Ransom Lordlily Ruby (VG-87-GMD-DOM), produced a top record of 4-11 3x 338d 35,350M 3.3% 1,170F 3.0% 1,060P.
