to Enter A.I. at Select Sires




PLAIN CITY, Ohio, July 20, 2006 — 7GU418 Idle Gold M CHRISTIAN-TW, bred by Neil and Janice Jensen, Comstock, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, CHRISTIAN will enter the program in 2006. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, CHRISTIAN semen is available to all Guernsey breeders.

CHRISTIAN is sired by Marfred Maxie-ET. His dam, Idle Gold Royal Contessa-ET, is scored Very Good (88) and ranks No. 3 in the breed for CPI. She is the breed’s highest milk index cow, with a current production peak of 168 pounds in her third lactation. Her full brother, 7GU388 Idle Gold ROYAL CROWN-ET, sired the All-American senior calf in 2004 and has a promising proof that could result in graduation in August 2006. CHRISTIAN’s maternal sister, Idle Gold Ronald Cinderella scored Very Good (88) in her first lactation.
