PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 8, 2006 — 7HO9035 Glen-Valley COLORADO-ET, bred by Kenneth Umble, Atglen, Pa., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, COLORADO is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2006. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, COLORADO semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

COLORADO is sired by Keystone Potter. His dam, the 7HO5375 Mara-Thon BW MARSHALL-ET daughter, Glen-Valley BW Carissa-ET (EX-90-VG-MS), produced a record of 1-11 365d 30,860M 3.9% 1,216F 3.0% 936P. His grandam, the 7HO4637 Ladys-Manor WINCHESTER-ET daughter, Glen-Valley Win Caprice-ET (EX-93-2E-EX-MS-GMD-DOM) is still going strong today at Glen-Valley, one of the finest herds in Pennsylvania. Combined with another fine herd, Keystone, COLORADO is a great representative of two incredible breeding programs. Backed by five Excellent dams, his pedigree is filled with high lifetime production on both sides, giving him the opportunity to combine production, type and health traits into a power-packed pedigree.
