Pennsylvania Sire to Enter A.I. at Select Sires

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 8, 2006 — 7HO8914 Windy-Knoll-View PERFORM-ET, bred by James and Nina Burdette, Mercersburg, Pa., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, PERFORM is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2006. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, PERFORM semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

PERFORM, with a unique 561 aAa, combines the famous Pala family reputation, recognized for its 45 All-American or Junior All-American nominations, with Hartline Titanic-ET. PERFORM’s dam, Windy-Knoll-View Pledge-ET (EX-92-EX-MS) has a 2-year-old record of more than 30,000 pounds of milk and 4.2% fat. The grandam is Windy-Knoll-View Promis-ET (EX-95-2E-EX-MS-DOM) with more than 44,000 pounds of milk. With another Excellent dam as the third dam, Windy-Knoll-View Ultimate Pala (EX-94-3E-DOM), PERFORM looks to be high-TPI with outstanding health traits and tremendous outcross opportunities.
