PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Feb. 8, 2007 — 7HO8963 Ri-Val-Re 2377 TORCH-RED, bred by Aaron Jorgensen, Webberville, Mich., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, TORCH-RED is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2006. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, TORCH-RED semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

TORCH-RED is sired by the Sellcrest Uncle Sam-Red-ET and his dam is Ms Ri-Val-Re Max Selsy-ET (VG-87-VG-MS). She produced a record of 2-1 365d 27,470M 3.8% 1,032F 3.1% 853P. Both the second and third dams are scored Very Good with more than 30,000 pounds of milk. TORCH-RED is an excellent outcross for many of today’s popular Red and White bloodlines and was bred to sire medium stature, improve strength with great udders and feet and legs.
