MR SAM Son to Enter A.I. at Select Sires

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Feb. 8, 2007 — 7HO9172 Bomaz Mrsam STERLING-ET, bred by Bomaz Inc., Hammond, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, STERLING is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2006. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, STERLING semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

STERLING is sired by 7HO6758 Regancrest-MR Drham SAM-ET. His dam is a unique Klassic Merril Lynch-ET daughter, and is scored Excellent (90-EX-MS). She produced an outstanding record of 3-1 3x 44,480M 5.1% 2,267 3.4% 1,507 for which she ranked second in the nation for fat pounds in her age category. With high type from MR SAM and extreme health traits and fat from his dam, expect STERLING to produce high-quality daughters as well as future bulls to be sampled.
