PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Feb. 8, 2007 — 7JE864 Sunset Canyon MAXENTIUS-ET, bred by Eric Silva, Beaver, Ore., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, MAXENTIUS is one of 35 Jersey bulls to enter the program in 2006. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, MAXENTIUS semen is now available to all Jersey breeders.

MAXENTIUS is sired by 7JE620 Sunset Canyon MAXIMUS-ET and is out of Sunset Canyon Per Amity-ET. Amity is scored Excellent (91%) and produced 3-1 3x 365d 35,838M 5.9% 2,121F 3.3% 1,188P. She is also the maternal sister to the Sunset Canyon MBSM Anthem-ET who is scored Excellent (95%) with a record of 5-4 365d 37,087M 4.7% 1,732F 3.7% 1,383P. His second dam, Sunset Canyon Brook Amity-ET (E-90%), produced 4-11 365d 32,214M 5.0% 1,601F 3.6% 1,153P.
