Holstein Graduates at Select Sires
PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Feb. 13, 2007 — With the release of Feb. 12 genetic evaluations, Select Sires graduates 12 new bulls including the much anticipated sons of customer-satisfaction sire 7HO5708 Fustead Emory BLITZ-ET (EX-94-GM). In addition, customers will find new sires that offer high-type, elite milk production, positive health traits, TPI™ super-stars and a polled, unique-pedigreed Red and White sire.

Following in their sire’s footsteps, sons of BLITZ combine high milk and type performance into one package. 7HO7560 Zimmerview BLITZ JINTX-ET tops Select’s lineup for Milk at +2,610 (95% Rel.), becoming the first BLITZ son to surpass his sire for milk production. With 312 daughters in 162 herds, this new release and udder improver (+1.52 UDC 90% Rel.) is highly reliable with daughters that have a tremendous will to work in today’s commercial operations. BLITZ son 7HO7744 Palmcrest Blitz BLADE-ET combines high milk with high type (+1,909 Milk 92% Rel. +2.49 Type +1.72 UDC +1.76 FLC 84% Rel.). BLADE adds strength at +1.93, contributing to his designation as a Herdlife Builder™. A rear udder specialist, his dam is the 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET daughter, Rgncrst-RH Durham Bliss-ET (VG-89-EX-MS) out of an Excellent (92) Ked-Juror-ET with 40,640 pounds of milk.
7HO7895 Regancrest SEGER-ET and 7HO7762 Diamond-Oak FLINT-ET add to the lineup of BLITZ sons and are sure to provide similar customer satisfaction. SEGER fills the bulk tank at +1,650 Milk (83% Rel.) and is a TPI all-star at +1636 (78% Rel.). He carries the Herdlife Builder designation and improves Type at +2.08. His dam, Regancrest Skychf Sunny-ET (EX-90) hails from the famous Dellia family and is a maternal sister to 7HO7514 REgancrest DESIGN-ET, a popular high-type sire. FLINT stays true to the form of a BLITZ son at +1,477 Milk (84% Rel.). He is also a Herdlife Builder and reduces calving difficulty at 7% CE (72% Rel.). FLINT’s dam, Askew Rudolph Amanda-ET (VG-86-GMD-DOM), produced a 3-year-old record of 38,400M 3.9% 1,507F 3.1% 1,175P. FLINT straightens the rear legs and his +2.34 foot angle makes him easy to use in herds housed on concrete.
7HO7780 Mr Regancrest Roy RACER and 7HO7596 Den-K Marshall LL LAURIN are extremely high for type, both ranking among Select’s elite top-10. At +2.97 Type (71% Rel.), RACER also transmits gorgeous udders (+2.34 UDC) and depth of body (+2.63 BD). His dam is the DURHAM daughter Regan-Joy Durham Regenia-ET (EX-92-EX-MS-GMD-DOM), a full-sister to the popular 7HO6758 Regancrest MR Drham SAM-ET. At +1663 TPI, LAURIN ranks among Select’s top-20 and is an all-around type improver (+2.62 Type +1.90 UDC +1.60 FLC +3.06 BD +2.71 D 77% Rel.). He is sired by 7HO5375 Mara-Thon BW MARSHALL-ET out of an Excellent (90-EX-MS) Comestar Lee-ET dam and has the linears to make the fancy kind. At +1663 TPI, LAURIN ranks among Select’s top-20.
Full brother BW MARSHALL sons 7HO7650 Lang-England M JACKSON-ET and 7HO7785 Lang-England M REAGAN-ET provide the balanced genetics today’s producers demand. At 1,014 Milk (94% Rel.), JACKSON transmits positive yields with excellent type (+2.06 Type +2.45 UDC +2.21 FLC 88% Rel.). A Super Sampler™ graduate, he boasts 268 daughters in 145 herds. At 6% CE (90% Rel.), JACKSON is easy to use in heifer A.I. programs.
