Red September Storm Son Enters A.I. at Select Sires



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, May 10, 2007 — 7HO9284 Sure-View SS AMAZE-RED-ET, bred by Douglas Schmitt, Hilbert, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, AMAZE-RED is one of 330 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2007. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, AMAZE-RED semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

AMAZE-RED is sired by Pursuit September Storm-ET and has a pedigree that competes with any black and white bull. AMAZE-RED’s dam is Sure-View Marshall Alley-ET who is scored Very Good (87), and produced 2-2 365d 38,320M 3.8% 1,455F 3.4% 1,300P. Alley’s full sister, Sure-View Marshall Above-ET (VG-86), produced 3-7 365d 40,860M 3.8% 1,561F 3.0% 1,227P. AMAZE-RED’s second and third dams are both scored Very Good, Gold Medal Dams and Dams of Merit with more than 30,000 pounds of milk, 3.9 percent fat and 3.3 percent protein. AMAZE-RED is the highest Parent Average Red and White young sire sampled to date. With consistency like this, AMAZE-RED is expected to sire elite components and great feet and legs.
