Sire from Regancrest Enters A.I. at Select with Showcase Selections Designation

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, May 10, 2007 — 7HO9070 Regancrest Mr BLACKJACK-ET, bred by Regancrest Farm, Waukon, Iowa, has been identified as a Super Sampler™ at Select Sires. Because of his elite, show-winning pedigree, BLACKJACK has also been chosen as a Showcase Selections™ sire. With these designations, BLACKJACK semen is now available to all Holstein breeders.

BLACKJACK is sired by Regancrest Dundee-ET and is a cross of the high-type families from Regancrest. BLACKJACK’s dam is Regancrest-PR Barbie-ET (VG-89-EX-MS-DOM), a line-bred daughter of 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET. Barbie was nominated All-American junior 3-year-old in 2004. Her first six daughters by five different sires scored Very Good (86) to Very Good (88) as 2-year-olds. With an elite Parent Average for both Type (+2.81) and Udder Composite (+2.95), BLACKJACK is expected to deliver blue ribbons for all levels of show.
