Wisconsin Sire Enters A.I. at Select with Showcase Selections Designation

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 6, 2007 — 7HO9344 Mr Crescentmead LUNDY-ET, bred by Niles, Elmo and Todd Wendorf, R. Hetts and T. Becker, Ixonia, Wis., has been identified as a Super Sampler™ at Select Sires. Because of his elite, show-winning pedigree, LUNDY has also been chosen as a Showcase Selections™ sire. With these designations, LUNDY semen is now available to all Holstein breeders.

LUNDY’s dam, Carlow Aeroline Lassie (EX-93), was reserve All-American junior 2-year-old in 2001 and was first junior 3-year-old at the 2002 Mid-West Spring National Show in Wisconsin. Lassie produced more than 37,000 pounds of milk with 4.0 percent fat and 3.1 percent protein in her second lactation and nearly 30,000 pounds of milk as a junior 2-year-old. The second dam, Carlow Leader 174 (EX-96-3E), was named All-American 3-year-old, reserve All-American aged cow and high honorable mention All-American 125,000 pound cow. LUNDY is sired by Braedale Goldwyn.

"LUNDY is backed by a time-tested, tanbark-winning cow family," said Charlie Will, manager Holstein sire program for Select Sires. "Since his sire, Goldwyn, the producer of fancy calves, is hard to get, LUNDY is the best alternative."
