Red Sire from the Roxys Enters A.I. at Select Sires

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Aug. 6, 2007 — 7HO9305 Married-Well RAGU-RED-ET, bred by Married-Well Holsteins, Valley Falls, N.Y., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, RAGU-RED is one of 330 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2007. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, RAGU-RED semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

RAGU-RED traces back to two of the breed’s finest cows, C Glenridge Citation Roxy (EX-97) and Stookey Elm Park Blackrose-ET (EX-96). Sired by Ladino Park Talent-IMP-ET, RAGU-RED’s dam is Golden-Oaks Sept Rae-Red-ET (VG-85-VG-MS), a potential eighth-generation Excellent cow from a family anchored by C Hanoverhill Tony Rae (EX-96-EX-MS). RAGU-RED’s second dam, Scientific Beauty Rae-ET (EX-90-VG-MS), completed her last record with 33,710M 4.7%F 3.5%P.
