Young Sire from Pennsylvania Enters A.I. at Select Sires



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Aug. 7, 2007 — 7HO9289 Windy-Knoll-View 4 ACES-ET, bred by James and Nina Burdette, Mercersburg, Pa., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, 4 ACES semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

4 ACES is a Picston Shottle-ET son from Windy-Knoll-View Pledge-ET (EX-92-EX-MS), a tanbark-ruling Comestar Outside-ET daughter of Windy-Knoll-View Promis-ET (EX-95-2E-EX-MS-DOM). Pledge was recently named reserve grand champion at the New York Spring Show. Promis produced more than 44,000 pounds of milk in her third lactation with 3.7 percent fat and 3.2 percent protein and achieved reserve All-American honors as a 5-year-old.
