Wisconsin Young Sire from the Faith Family Blazes into A.I. at Select Sires



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Aug. 7, 2007 — 7HO9353 Sandy-Valley FIREman-ET, bred by David, Patrick, Frank, Jr. and Gregory Bauer, Scandinavia, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, FIRE is one of 330 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2007. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, FIRE semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

A Picston Shottle-ET son from the Ralma Juror Faith family, FIRE hails from an outstanding maternal line. His dam, Ralma Durham Fireball-ET, is Very Good (88-EX-MS) at 2-years-old and already a Dam of Merit with three Very Good milking daughters. She produced over 33,000 pounds of milk with 4 percent fat and 3 percent protein in her first lactation. Fireball is backed by the famous Juror Faith (EX-91-GMD-DOM), who has a 4-year-old record of nearly 48,000 pounds of milk with 4.5 percent fat.
