PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Aug. 22, 2007 — Select Sires released new Jersey and Guernsey sires following the August 13 genetic evaluations. In addition, Select’s high-components lineups continue to feature breed-leaders that perform in components, milk yield, type and more.
HANK-P: New Polled Jersey Release
7JE734 HANK of D&E-P-ET combines components (+.00% +38 Protein, +.06% +61 Fat), health traits (2.88 Somatic Cell Score, +2.2 Productive Life, +0.6 Daughter Pregnancy Rate) and the polled gene for customer satisfaction. He debuts among the top-20 Jersey sires for Jersey Performance Index™ (JPI™) at +175 and the breed’s highest JPI-ranking polled bull. HANK-P offers a low Expected Future Inbreeding (EFI) value of 4.9, giving him the ability to be used on a wide section of the Jersey population. His use on 7JE563 Sil-Mist RMBM Buttons BRAZO-ET and 9JE202 O.F. Barber ROCKET daughters will introduce the polled gene to a whole new population of quality genetics.
