Red Bull from Wisconsin Enters A.I. at Select Sires

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, July 25, 2008 — 7HO9557 Sandy-Valley SAHARA-RED-ET, bred by David, Patrick, Frank Jr. and Gregory Bauer, Scandinavia, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, SAHARA-RED is one of 335 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2008. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler™. With this designation, SAHARA-RED semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

SAHARA-RED, one of the fanciest Litchblick-RED-ET sons in the United States, is tailor made for 7HO7872 KHW Kite ADVENT-RED-ET and STBVQ Rubens-ET daughters. With Pursuit September Storm daughter, Sandy-Valley SPT Savanna-ET (VG-89-VG-MS), on the bottom side out of the world-renowned Ricecrest Terry Tory-ET (EX-93-2E-GMD-DOM), SAHARA-RED shows great potential. Savanna is the only Very Good (89) 2-year-old thus far from Tory and produced 43,000 pounds of milk her first lactation with nearly 4.0 percent fat.
