Young Sire from Utah Added to Select Sires’ Showcase Selections Lineup

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, December 16, 2008 — 7HO9590 Mr Pappys PADRE-ET, bred by Pappys Farms and Mow-Ten-Vue Holsteins of Ogden, Utah, has been identified as a Super Sampler™ at Select Sires. Because of his elite, show-winning pedigree, PADRE has been designated a Showcase Selections™ sire. With these designations, PADRE semen is now available to all Holsteins breeders.

PADRE hails from the world-renowned Mow-Ten-Vue Jolt Nadya (EX-95-3E), a cow who earned credibility both as a show winner and a milk producer. She was the Western National champion in 2003 and first-place 125,000-pound cow in 2006. She produced 40,000 pounds of milk, 1,800 pounds of fat and 1,200 pounds of protein with ease from her picture-perfect udder. Add Comestar Stormatic-ET to the top side of this cow family and PADRE has the potential to produce the fancy show calves that develop into colored-shavings cows that also succeed with a dairy milk check.
