In the truest sense of a successful cooperative, All West/Select Sires announces the distribution of patronage for 2000 business profits. On September 15, 2001, All West Co-op members will receive their share of the $526,500 in cash being returned in the form of patronage checks. This cash disbursement amounts 50% of the 2000 profits - the remaining 50% will be sent to qualifying members on a five-year rotation. That makes total patronage returned to members based on their 2000 purchases of over a million dollars returned. This is one of the largest patronage distribution in the coops history.
The total patronage returned for 2000 amounts to nearly 12 1/2 cents on the dollar returned to member owners of the cooperative. In other words, for every dollar spent on semen with All West in 2000, 12 1/2 cents will be returned to the farmer who purchased the semen through the cooperative. The more business they did, the bigger their patronage checks will be. Since 1990 well over 9 million dollars in patronage has been returned to coop members at an average of 11.5% return. Operating in an extremely efficient manner, the Burlington, Washington Co-op has been able to return sizeable patronage dividends year after year.
All West/Select Sires began business in 1941 as Skagit County Artificial Breeders and has served customers from the same location for the past 60 years. The mission of the Co-op remains the same today as it was then; To provide the livestock industry with superior genetics, products and services through a cooperative association.
To see how you too can share in the profits of the most successful A.I. cooperative in the West, call toll-free 1-800-426-2697. If your semen supplier is not allowing you to share in the profits, call All West/Select Sires today.
