Adam Hahlen Named COBA/Select Sires Technician Program Manager

Adam Hahlen of Salem, Ohio, has taken on the added responsibilities and title of Technician Program Manager for COBA/Select Sires according to Duane Logan, COBA's Marketing Director-North. This will be in addition to Hahlen's current responsibilities as COBA's Reproductive Supervisor.

As COBA's cattle artificial insemination technician program has grown in recent years, and as it continues to grow at a fast rate, it deserves to have someone overseeing and guiding it in a day-to-day and hands-on fashion. Hahlen is the obvious choice to handle this responsibility, as it is his passion to see both COBA technicians and COBA member-owner-customers succeed and thrive.

COBA's district sales managers will remain the primary supervisors of the technicians in their geographic service area. Hahlen's job is the overall focus and growth of the program.

COBA/Select Sires is an artificial insemination cooperative that was formed in 1946. As a farmer owned and controlled organization it puts the needs of its farmer customers first. COBA experienced a record year in 2001 selling over a million units of semen for the first time in its history. Net income was also the highest ever, which will result in COBA customers receiving nice patronage checks in the coming year.
