Cryder Joins COBA/Select Sires Staff

COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 3, 2004 — Duane Logan, Director of Marketing-North announces the recent addition of Dick Cryder, Marysville, Ohio to the COBA/Select Sires marketing staff. "Dick is very well known by Ohio producers as well as the industry as a whole. We are very excited to have Dick as a member of our north marketing team," remarks Duane Logan. He will be responsible for the management of all semen shipments coming into and leaving the Columbus, Ohio facility as the Distribution Supervisor.

Dick comes to us from ADM Alliance Nutrition Inc, where he has served as a sales representative in western Ohio since 1999, prior to that he served one year as the logistics manager at Daylay Inc., known as the second largest egg production company in Ohio. Dick is not a total stranger to the Select Sires organization because from 1983 to 1997 Dick worked in some capacity at Select Embryos Inc. He started as the recipient manager from 1983-1996 and was named the assistant livestock manager from 1996-1997. Previously, Dick was the owner and manager of Walnut Valley Farm, a family- owned dairy farm from 1972 to 1983. Dick has extensive A.I. and sales training and will make a valuable part of the team from the office. Through the nature of his job with Select, Dick is very familiar with the purebred associations as well as breeders around the state and nation.

Dick graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972 amid numerous academic honors. Dick and his wife, Meg, have three adult children including a daughter and son, both 4th grade teachers, and their youngest daughter will graduate from The Ohio State University in June of 2004. Dick currently resides near Marysville, Ohio. He is very active in Union County where he serves on several 4-H committees including the 4-H Poultry Key Leader, 4-H Advisory Council, Union County Livestock Committee and has been a 4-H Club advisor since 1990.
