Haubstadt Student Receives $1,000 Scholarship

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 24, 2001 — Adam Ziliak, son of Mark Ziliak, of Haubstadt, Ind., recently was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the KABA/Select Sires Inc. board of directors.

This fall Adam will be enrolled at Western Kentucky University as a freshman majoring in agribusiness. Adam had a strong application, which included extensive dairy competition such as judging on the 4-H team at the state and national level, and being chapter treasurer and district president in FFA as well as FFA camp counselor and a member of the state executive FFA committee. Adam was selected from candidates from across the state of Indiana.

After graduation Adam plans on a career in the dairy industry. KABA/Select Sires Inc. awards one scholarship per year to a deserving student in Indiana whose family is a member of the KABA/Select Sires Inc. cooperative.
