Mountain Grove Student Receives $1,000 Scholarship

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 24, 2001 — Doti Smith, daughter of Kyle and Brenda Smith of Mountain Grove, Mo., recently was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the KABA/Select Sires Inc. board of directors.

This fall Doti will be enrolled at Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo., as a freshman majoring in agribusiness with an emphasis in animal science. Based on a strong application, which includes involvement in several successful 4-H and FFA state dairy judging teams, FFA secretary, Students Against Drunk Driving, and the local church, Doti was selected from candidates from across the state of Missouri.

After graduation, Doti plans to become an embryo technician. KABA/Select Sires Inc. awards two scholarships per year to deserving students in Missouri whose families are members of the KABA/Select Sires Inc. cooperative.
