Fancy Farm Student Receives $1,000 Scholarship

Michelle WilsonLOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 24, 2001 — Michelle Wilson, daughter of Denis and Denise Wilson of Fancy Farm, Ky., recently was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the KABA/Select Sires Inc. board of directors.

This fall Michelle will be enrolled at Murray State University in Murray, Ky., as a freshman majoring in agriculture with a minor in communications. Based on a strong application, which includes experience as FFA regional treasurer and chapter president as well as many activities in the local church parish, Michelle was selected from candidates from across the state of Kentucky.

After graduation Michelle plans to acquire a position in public relations with an emphasis on promoting agriculture. KABA/Select Sires Inc. awards two scholarships per year to deserving students in Kentucky whose families are members of the KABA/Select Sires Inc. cooperative.
