Tyler Dickerhoof is a renowned mentor and advisor for entrepreneurs and executives seeking practical leadership guidance. He aims to help others courageously recognize their fears and insecurities, choosing to lead authentically and vulnerably, resulting in a true transformation impact.

Having grown up and worked in the agriculture industry, Tyler has firsthand experience with leadership's tough and challenging nature. This diverse background has driven him to grow and transform himself, enabling him to lead and connect with all types of people in all industries, showcasing the breadth of his experience.

Sophie Eaglen, Ph.D. — NAAB International Program Director


Sophie Eaglen, Ph.D., currently works as the International Program Director with NAAB. Through her position, Eaglen works with foreign officials, industry stakeholders and dairy and beef producers to ensure the appropriate use of exported bovine genetics from the United States and navigate trade barriers. Eaglen will join us Wednesday and Thursday for general session, workshop and breakout sessions.

Sophie Eaglen is a quantitative geneticist with a Ph.D. in genetics and genomics from Edinburgh University, Scotland. Before Edinburgh, she earned her master's degree in animal science from Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

Eaglen has a background in science, business global development and geopolitics with a continuous focus of explaining cattle genetic improvement to various audiences worldwide for the benefit of cattle producers and animal protein production. In her current role with NAAB Eaglen works with foreign officials, key industry stakeholders and dairy and beef producers to resolve trade barriers and promote the appropriate use of high-quality bovine genetics exported from the United States. In addition, Eaglen writes popular science articles in which she translates the complex world of cattle genetics to dairy and beef producers.

After several years in the United States, Eaglen currently lives in the Netherlands with her husband and twin toddlers.

Frank Mitloehner, Ph.D. — Professor and air quality specialist, University of California Davis


Frank Mitloehner, Ph.D., is a professor, air quality specialist and Director of the Clarity and Leadership for Environmental Awareness and Research (CLEAR) Center at UC Davis. He has a diversified background in the agriculture industry and is committed to making a difference for generations to come. As part of his position with UC Davis and cooperative extension, Mitloehner collaborates with the animal agriculture sector to create better efficiencies and mitigate pollutants. Mitloehner is sure to inspire attendees with his addition to the Market Trends conversation and insider insight to the film, A World Without Cows.

Frank Mitloehner is a professor and air quality specialist in cooperative extension in the Department of Animal Science at UC Davis. He shares his research globally with students, scientists, farmers, policy makers, and the public. Frank is also director of the CLEAR Center, which leverages research and science communications to help animal agriculture further stewardship efforts.

Frank is committed to making a difference for generations to come. As part of his position with UC Davis and cooperative extension, he collaborates with the animal agriculture sector to better understand and reduce air emissions from livestock operations, as well as studying the implications of these emissions on the health of farm workers and neighboring communities. Frank's research also focuses on animal welfare.

Frank received a Master of Science degree in animal science and agricultural engineering from the University of Leipzig, Germany, and a doctoral degree in animal science from Texas Tech University. Frank was recruited by UC Davis in 2002, to fill its first-ever position focusing on the relationship between livestock and air quality.

Kristin Pronschinske grew up on a dairy farm in western Wisconsin, where she was deeply involved in the family business. Starting at eight years old, she participated in dairy show rings, showcasing her Holsteins and judging competitions for 4-H and FFA. Kristin attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in marketing communications with an agricultural emphasis, a Master of Science in agricultural education with an extension option, and an MBA. She also earned a Master of Science in organizational leadership, specializing in training and staff development, from Colorado State University, where she was recognized as a distinguished scholar. Additionally, Kristin holds an international advanced leadership certification from the Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education, is an international Keynote speaker, and is a certified facilitator. 

With a passion for people, training, coaching, and strategic business growth, Kristin has spent 20+ years in sales, developing new markets and managing sales teams. She has successfully executed corporate strategies and led international business initiatives, along with coaching and training sales teams and leaders across North America.

Driven by her strong commitment to talent development, Kristin founded LookUp, LLC where she is the CEO and Founder.  The firm focuses on executive coaching and consulting, sales training and implementation, leadership development and communication strategies.  Kristin also works with clients on professional development coaching.

Dr. Gavin Staley — Ruminant Technical Specialist, Diamond V


Dr. Gavin Staley, boasts an impressive academic and professional career. Graduating from University of Pretoria in South Africa, Dr. Staley spent five years as Senior Faculty Lecturer in Reproduction during which time he completed his specialist degree in this discipline (MMedVet). Join us Thursday for the Dairy breakout session where Dr. Staley will shed light on how management strategies and genetics can impact the future.

Dr. Gavin Staley graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria, South Africa as a veterinarian in 1984.  After a two-year compulsory military service, Dr. Staley joined the Faculty of Veterinary Science (Univ. Pretoria) as a lecturer in reproduction. Completed a M.Med.Vet in Reproduction and qualified as a Veterinary Specialist (Theriogenology). After 6 years in academia, Dr. Staley joined the largest dairy practice in South Africa in 1993 as a partner, with dairy and equine focus. In 1998, Dr. Staley emigrated to the United States and joined a dairy practice in Door County, Wisconsin and in 2001, he qualified as a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists. In 2003, Dr. Staley relocated to the Central Valley of California, and has worked in the industry for the past 21 years in various Technical Service positions.

Dr. Staley enjoys international travel where he learns more about dairying around the world. He has presented at World Dairy Expo, AABP and various other national and international meetings. Dr. Staley has a particular interest in dairy record evaluation, heifer maturity and dairy productive life.
