Alexis Lake Joins Select Sires as Beef Market Development Manager

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, May 4, 2026 – Select Sires Inc. is excited to announce the hiring of Alexis Lake as Beef Market Development Manager. Lake will work cross-functionally to translate customer needs and market opportunities in support of Select Sires’ mission to enhance the productivity and profitability of cattle producers. She will focus on strengthening relationships with beef customers, sales representatives and international distributors, while supporting Select Sires beef initiatives, including the young sire testing program.

Her experience and energy will be a great asset as she helps connect market insights with strategies that support producer success worldwide.”
A Laramie, Wyoming native with a valuable cow-calf background, Lake holds an associate degree in agriculture from Butler Community College and a bachelor’s degree in agriculture-animal science with a minor in livestock merchandising from Oklahoma State University. While at Oklahoma State, she competed on the livestock judging and meat animal evaluation teams, earning Academic All-American honors and contributing to the 2023 National Champion Livestock Judging Team.
Lake also gained extensive undergraduate research experience collaborating on projects focused on beef carcass evaluation, pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP) analysis in feedlot cattle, and studies related to beef reproductive function.
Most recently, Lake served as member engagement coordinator for the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation where she supported leadership development initiatives for county federations. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in agricultural communications at Texas Tech University, with graduation anticipated in 2027.
